3 More Chained Polyhedral Packs

Three more examples of connected chains of polyhedral packaging.

1. Charlérik Lemieux’s 8-pack of acorns, based on Gilles Vigneault’s 1976 song, “J’ai Planté un Chêne,” was an octagonal ring of connected pyramids. (via: Packaging UQAM)

2. The connected red boxes of Olivia Paden’s 2011 “Tripkit” serve as a metaphor for “a series of mini-adventures” portioned out to break up the monotony of a long car trip.

3. Zohra and Benoit Gillain’s Zebag is a chain of 6 triangular compartments for bottles of wine that folds up into a hexagonal carrying case.

(More about ZeBag, after the fold…)

Benoit Gillain, inspired by Zohra, his creative wife, two friends offers the compartmentalized design of a deployable bag … hexagonal since the original request was for one containing six bottles! After months of study, research, development, and the filing of a patent, the latest prototype gives way to end Zebag © 2008

Interestingly, while it’s Benoit who is given design credit here, it is his “inspirational” wife, Zohra who actually seems to hold the patent. Some of her alternate designs are shown below…
